Oskomera Solar Power Solutions built a 5 MW solar power plant on a flat roof in Harelbeke, Belgium. The installation, spread over two roofs, was built in only eleven weeks. The project is now completely operative and connected to the grid.

The two roofs have a total surface of 115,750 m2 and because of these huge dimensions the photovoltaic modules had to be moved using special horizontal transport on the roof. 17,871 Suntech STP 280Wp modules were installed on the two roofs using LightFrame XL and connected to SMA Tripower 17.000TL inverters.

The total installed power is 5,07 MW which makes it the largest PV installation on a flat roof in the Benelux.
