Semi-transparent solar panels are frequently used for architectural applications. Embedding the solar cells between two glass elements makes it possible to produce custom-made solar panels, while the application options of ‘normal’ glass are retained.

In close cooperation with the Oskomera Group, Oskomera Solar Power Solutions can fit semi-transparent solar panels into façades. Architectural values, reduction of sunlight penetration and power generation play a primary role here. The panels can be included in an insulated curtain façade system as standard glazing.

Semi-transparent solar panels are being used increasingly for glazing in glass roofs and atria. The sunshade function with the architectural image has significantly boosted this technology in the glass roof market.
