The Oskomera Group is launching a range of space frame constructions consisting of rods and spherical intersections. This system provides enormous design freedom in relation to the options in terms of shape and span.
The spaceframe can be used to produce roof and cover constructions in any desired shape with maximum design freedom. Varying from flat roofs, domes, dishes and canopies to pyramids. The construction can be executed with a square, rectangular, triangular or hexagonal grid, or a combination of these. Coverings can be selected in glass, plastic panels, and steel or aluminium plates. The spherical intersections can be fitted with halogen lighting as an option.
The simplicity of the modular concept enables the spaceframe to offer important building logistics benefits. The system components can be transported and shipped in containers, which considerably reduces the transport costs. The spaceframe is installed from the ground floor, after which the complete construction is placed on the support points with one or more hydraulic arms in a single operation.
The bonding of the spaceframe is such that the self-supporting capacity is retained in the case of fire or other emergencies. This makes the spaceframe exceptionally suitable for application in entrances, canopies, stations, domes, shopping centres and other public buildings.
The Oskomera Group can also supply all other steel and aluminium constructions to be used.
